Congratulations to Mrs. Conneely's 8th grade homeroom for bringing in the most Halloween candy. The candy will be donated to the Westfield Pediatric Dental Group for distribution to first responders and food pantries.

Last Friday, Mrs. Gilford took her 7th grade students to see the exhibit of Seward Johnson sculptures through out downtown area. They also visited the Roig gallery to meet Ricardo Roig (RIS alumni) and view his unique style.
As we continue to encourage our students to get involved in all RIS has to offer, our Makerspace Club was having fun working together after school.

Wrapping up the Nature of Science unit, sixth graders experienced various phenomena and started to really think like scientists!
Today in Ms. Goodwin’s STEM 6 class, students learned about simple circuitry and explored different conductive materials, like bananas! Here students are using Makey Makey’s to turn bananas into arrow keys to draw on a digital Etch A Sketch!
