Edison eighth grade students were fortunate to hear from the WHS Dream Team this week. The WHS Dream Team came to Edison to speak with eighth graders about making a successful transition to Westfield High School. These high school students shared their own stories of what enabled them to find success as a freshman and the life lessons they have learned through their own high school experiences.

Congratulations to Edison School's 2023 Optimist Club Intermediate School Teacher of the Year, Madame Young. Madame Young is a sixth-grade French teacher at EIS. Her energy, positivity, and total dedication to her students a just some of the qualities that make her our teacher of the year. Congrats, Madame Young!!!
Out Edison TLRNC peer leaders were incredibly excited to welcome elementary students this week during our annual 5th-grade walkovers. Our soon-to-be intermediate school students toured the building, took part in team-building activities, and ate their first lunch in the EIS cafeteria.
Students at Edison School enjoyed a great time participating in our SGA's "Anything but A Backpack Day!"

Three amazing Edison School students dedicated considerable time and energy to increasing the level of biodiversity in the Edison School Courtyard. Students in Mrs. Meade's Journalism class are hard at work composing the narrative for their documentary project. Groups are working collaboratively investigating topics such as: Why do people love dogs? Does having a sibling change your personality? and Health or Physical Education, what's more important?
