Seventh grade students in Mrs. Messinger's social studies class are in the Edison Media Center this week researching the Middle Ages. Databases are the building blocks of any research project. Students access Encyclopedia Britannica, GALE Virtual Reference Library and others to gather accurate information, while also searching the web using strategies like a Boolean Search to narrow down results via Google.

EIS Student Government Association (SGA) officers took time to meet with Mr. Dom, who is in charge of the cafeteria service, to propose some new additions to the lunch menu. It was fantastic to watch these student leaders advocate for changes in a thoughtful and respectful way. Great job SGA!
