Wilson 2nd and 4th grade buddies in Mrs. Kasemeyer and Ms. O'Neill's classes recently met for the first time. They completed an interview activity to get to know one another and set a foundation for their collaborative work this year.
Using raw beef liver, students in Ms. Houghtaling's gifted and talented biology class recently studied how the enzyme catalase speeds up the reaction that breaks down hydrogen peroxide (which is toxic to living things) into water and oxygen.
WHS students in Ms. Alicea, Ms. Malvasio, and Ms. Zito's geometry classes explored points, lines and planes in 3-D geometric figures through a team building gumdrop challenge. This activity helped students lay the foundation for a successful year studying geometry concepts.
The WHS Student Government Association, in partnership with the PTSO and Class Council, hosted a Senior Sunrise for the Class of 2024 to commemorate the beginning of senior year. Bagels and a brisk, beautiful sunrise was enjoyed by many.
