
Last week, the Counseling department in conjunction with the World Language department/ML program brought 24 9th-11th grade first generation college students to Kean University for a campus tour and information session. This was most of the students' first time visiting a college campus and was well received.

Westfield High School athletes, Jefferson Elementary School alumni, returned to their elementary school to celebrate READ ACROSS AMERICA. This partnership showcases the unique spirit of mentorship and community that defines Westfield Public Schools.





9th and 10th Class assemblies took place at WHS to review expectations and look ahead to how next year's new schedule works for students.


The 10th Grade Health Baby/Parenting Project begins this week. WHS 10th-grade health students will be carrying and caring for their baby dolls to gain perspective on what it means to care for, think about, and protect a child.

WHS Senior Assembly, sponsored by the Westfield Fire Department “After the Fire” a documentary about the 2020 Seton Hall University dorm fire. A timely and thoughtful presentation for the Class of 2025.


Amazing DECA results at this week's State DECA competition. Three students from Westfield's DECA chapter have won their respective competitions and will advance to the National Competition Congratulations to all the State competitors and to Mr. Goldman, faculty advisor!

WHS Counseling visited both intermediate schools last week to kick off the transition to WHS! They provided information to the students about course selection, resources, and tips for success at WHS. The WHS counselors are looking forward to meeting the 8th grade parents and guardians this week at the high school.

Back by popular demand, Monday was the WHS second annual game show for January's Activity Period Day! The WHS SGA was excited to bring the school community together and provide an environment for students to be engaged, build connections, and have some fun!








Everyone is getting into the holiday spirit at WHS! Roaming the halls at WHS, we hear holiday cheer with the Student Chorus caroling as students and staff get ready for a happy holiday season with festive outfits and sweaters.







The holiday concerts wrapped up last night with the WHS Chorus Concert conducted by Mr. John Brzozowski. The joyful evening ended with several alumni joining the students on stage to perform!
