Mrs. Liptack and Mrs. Sirmans environmental science class explores how carbon cycles through our planet's system by playing an interactive game.
The three teams of Westfield Robotics opened their competition season with a home event. Team 5968 went 5-1 on the day and took home 1st Place out of 21 total teams, while Team 10343 and Team 7102 both finished 3-3 and came in 8th and 9th places, respectively. The competition this year involves students designing and controlling robots that can launch two different colors of balls into goals, with bonus points awarded for scoring them in a certain pattern and for parking robots in designated areas by the end of a match. Westfield Robotics will be in action again on December 7th at SPF.




Mr. Garodnick's AP Physics 1 students use their understanding of multimass systems and Dynamics to find the unknown mass of a random object. They are only allowed to use a meterstick and a stopwatch. Each member of the group with the least percent error will earn 2 bonus points on their next assessment.
National Letter of Intent signing day was held on November 12th at WHS. 25 of our WHS athletes will be continuing their athletic careers in college. Congratulations to all!

The fall play is almost here! Blue Stocking's Opening night is November 20th at 4 pm. Students in Mr. Devlin's Stagecraft class are busy building the set.



Students decorated classroom doors as part of Pink Out 2025!
The WHS Pink Out Student vs. Teacher Volleyball game, raised over $500 for Pathways, an organization that helps with women diagnosed with breast cancer. Put on by the SGA and Community Service club, students were able to cheer on players as the teachers won against the students.
Ms. Procaccino’s Advanced Portfolio Honors class is promoting “InkTober”, an art initiative for the WHS community to join in and encourage creativity. Each day has a new word to challenge creative thinking and to keep students drawing all though out the month of October.
Graduates Will & Aaron Eisenberg, returned to WHS to speak to BDTV students about their 14 year experience with screen writing and film making. They also spoke with Theater students about acting for the screen.
WHS closes out Hispanic Heritage Month with a game of "Loteria", or "Bingo" in English, with the Spanish Club and guacamole making with the Cooking and Connections Club during the common lunch block.
The WHS Marching band kicked off their competitive season this past weekend. The band placed 2nd in class AAAA at the NJMBDA competition in Piscataway. The band will continue their competitive season on October 18th in East Brunswick.





The SACs and the Anti-bullying specialists are spreading positivity during the Week of Respect. They encouraged students to stop by a table outside of the cafeteria during common lunch to create an upstander certificate and notes of gratitude to be sent to someone who makes a difference in their lives.
The class of 2026 celebrated the beginning of the school year in our annual "Senior Sunrise" tradition! Looking forward to all the milestones this year.
