Today is May 1st, a date recognized across the country as National College Decision Day. It is a major milestone for our Class of 2026, we've seen a sea of new colors. Our WHS Seniors are officially "declaring" their next chapters by rocking spirit wear from the colleges, universities, and programs they’ll be attending this fall. From local favorites to out-of-state adventures, the diversity of paths our seniors are taking is incredible.

This was a demonstration of the elite talent and discipline that defines the WHS choral program. We congratulate them on a truly outstanding achievement and for representing our school with such high distinction.

Our Senior English students are getting a front-row seat to a masterclass in storytelling. We’re thrilled to welcome Carlos Andrés Gómez to campus—Award-winning poet, viral spoken-word performer, talented actor, and educator from NYC.
You might recognize him from HBO’s Def Poetry Jam, or perhaps you've seen his award-winning collections on the shelves. He explored with the Class of 2026 that poetry isn’t just words on a page—it’s a living, breathing tool for change.
It was a full house at WHS today for Take Your Child to Work Day! Our staff's children got a front-row seat to the world of education and even hit the airwaves! They teamed up with the BDTV crew and joined Joe Michaeli for a special "Cup of Joe" segment. We loved having these mini-educators and broadcasters on campus. We hope they had as much fun as we did!

Awards & Recognition:
1st Place Championship Title: Large Group Vocal category.
Outstanding Musicianship: Awarded to Kelsey Dix for her exceptional solo performance in "Spain."
We are incredibly proud of these talented musicians for representing WHS on a national stage!

Congratulations to WHS 11th grade students Juliette Lerner and Ben Zhou on being named the New Jersey representatives at the America’s Youth AI Festival taking place this summer!

Students in senior health classes are mastering CPR and AED training. From chest compressions to clearing the AED, they’re getting certified and staying prepared.
