
Some of Wilson's first and fifth grade buddies met up to work on a collaborative project where they decide how to disguise their turkeys so they make it through Thanksgiving. We look forward to seeing their finished products.

Wilson fifth grade scientists traveled to the Buehler Challenger and Science Center. While there, students worked in teams to conduct investigations and apply principles of math and science to successfully complete their missions.

Our first grade scientists had an assembly with meteorologist John Marshall. They learned about weather tools, types of clouds, and extreme weather events to complement what they are studying. They even had a chance to deliver weather forecasts using green-screen technology.

Strategic Planning Stakeholder Session for Parents and Community Members on Wednesday, November 2 from 7-9p. Hope to see you there!


In Mrs. Collins' art class, Wilson students learned about empathy, kindness, respect, and the growth mindset as they read "I am Human" by Susan Verde. Students and staff created self-portraits in the style of Peter H. Reynolds that came together in a mural to represent our wonderful Wilson School community.

Students in Ms. Guerra's class conducted a reaction time investigation during science. The typical human reaction time is about 1/4 second. Do you think you could catch a dollar bill between your thumb and pointer finger? Think fast!

Respect is a Wilson School pillar of character each and every day. During the first week of October, our students take a little extra time to discuss what it means to be respectful at school, at home, and in our communities. This week in libary, students read the text "Tomorrow I'll Be Kind" and created bookmarks to spread the kindness to their peers when they check out books.
