Two third graders, Sophie Stewart and Gabby Kozlik, wanted to start a Kindness Club. They asked a few teachers for help. They made signs to advertise the club. 32 other students arrived at their first meeting. They created kindness visuals to post around the school. They determined their short term goals for their club (puppet show, bulletin boards and fundraising). We're proud of this Franklin start-up. Mrs. Rygiel, Mrs. Romano, Mrs. Feeley and Mrs. Slomczewski have all decided to help this kind crew of students! Great work everyone!

A series of in-person and remote community engagement sessions are scheduled for Westfield residents to learn about the 2023-2024 school district operating budget and to get their questions answered. More info and links here: https://bit.ly/BudgetCommunityEngagement2023

There is a parent meeting on March 23rd at 7:30 at Roosevelt.

Students made sensory bottles for Shannon's Table, an organization that supports children with autism.

Students had a chance to make their own contribution to the Greta's Run banner! They colored their own dragonfly which will be part of the festivities for Greta's Run on May 21st!

Students went to 9 stations and collected stars when they finished each station.

Students made bookmarks for Sophia's Book Stand. Sophia is one of our very own Franklin students! When she was 7, she started an organization to help make sure all children have access to books. So far, she's given out over 5,000 books. Go Sophia!
