Our youngest learners at Lincoln engaged in environmental science assemblies and explored ways to reduce, reuse, and recycle to protect our planet.

Edison physical education teachers took advantage of recent warm weather, allowing students to choose a sport/activity including football, soccer, and a walk around the track at Gary Kehler Stadium.





Based on unofficial results, Westfield voters approved the proposed increase in funding for the 2024-2025 school district operating budget, enabling the district to continue fulfilling its commitment to deliver the best educational experiences possible for our students.

We are so grateful to survivors of the Holocaust and their families who share their impactful experiences with our students each year. Recently, Peter Fleischmann visited with Tamaques 5th graders to recount his story of courage and survival.

Wilson's 1st and 2nd graders recently welcomed members of the Union County Bureau of Recycling and Planning, learning what can be recycled, practicing sorting items into appropriate bins, and receiving their Recycling Ranger badges for pledging to recycle at both home and school.




McKinley students are preparing for Earth Day by planting seeds in the school garden.

Building roller coasters in Mrs. Herrera's 8th grade Science Applications class at Edison, using the skills they learned in class.


Our elementary PTOs continue to organize wonderful multicultural festivals. Recently at Washington, 24 countries offered crafts, food, language, and geography lessons, distributing over 150 passports to young travelers, who collected stamps as they toured each country.

Jefferson 3rd graders recently shared their nonfiction magazines with their 2nd grade schoolmates, reading together, answering questions, and identifying the various text features that were used throughout their projects.
