Tuesday, May 21, 2024 - Lincoln School's annual Kindergarten Field Day brought joy and excitement to students, parents, and staff alike. The event was a spectacular display of locomotor skills, hand-eye coordination, teamwork, sportsmanship, and school spirit.
Throughout the event, students rotated through various stations, which included a baton race, an obstacle course, penguin ball carry, egg and spoon relay, and soaker sponge relay. Students delighted in showcasing their athletic skills and enthusiasm. The spirit of cooperation and encouragement was palpable as classmates cheered each other on, embodying the true essence of teamwork and sportsmanship.
The success of the event would not have been possible without the dedicated efforts of several key contributors. Special thanks are due to Ms. D'Agostino, our Physical Education teacher, who carefully planned the activities, the Kindergarten teachers who supervised and encouraged the students, and the custodians who ensured the facilities were in top condition. Additionally, parent volunteers played a crucial role in facilitating the event and providing enthusiastic support.
A heartfelt thank you goes to our fabulous Parent-Teacher Organization (PTO) for their generous gesture in gifting each student with a keepsake Westfield Class of 2036 baseball cap. These caps not only serve as a memento of a fun-filled day, but also foster a sense of unity and pride among our young student athletes.
