Week of February 26, 2024: Read Across America Week 2024 promises to be an immersive literary experience, embracing a "One School, One Book" approach centered around Song in the City by Daniel Bernstrom. Throughout the week, students will embark on a shared journey through the vibrant pages of this enchanting story about Emmeline, a young girl who happens to be blind.
The themes of harmony, resilience, and the power of music will resonate throughout the school, as various activities, discussions, and events bring this story to life. On Thursday, February 29, a member of the Seeing Eye Foundation will be onsite. Students will learn about the important role guide dogs play in our society. As a token of appreciation, the Lincoln School Community will be collecting items that the Seeing Eye Foundation can use for its dogs - please deliver all donated items by February 29.
