Author Day was inspirational! Author David Biedrzycki (Bah-Dricky) , a writer and illustrator, spoke about telling stories, finding ideas in everyday life, and his process for creating illustrations. Using a easy to use app, Procreate, he could make amazing visuals. He also had lunch with a handful of lucky winners!

Franklin STEAM launched another session this week with sessions like Cooking for Kids, Lego Engineers, Robo Builders, Art of Mindfulness and Yoga, Candle Making, Fantastic Forces and Jewelry Business 101.










Congratulations to our Spotlight on Character winners! They caught the eye of teachers for acts of kindness.

Willy Wonka Jr. had us all looking for the golden ticket! Thank you to our PTO for sponsoring this amazing event. 5th graders performed their dress rehearsal today for our students and staff! They have two shows this weekend! We are getting ready to open the doors!










It's time to Drop Everything And Read! Students and staff are celebrating Read Across America throughout the halls of Franklin with great books!










Congrats to our Music Students of the Month for their kindness, hard work and dedication in Music class!


March is Youth Art Month! Student artwork is being displayed downtown at the Rialto and the Westfield Library. Here are a few of the selected students and some artwork that was chosen!




Willy Wonka, sponsored by the Franklin PTO, is in its final week of preparation for the big night next Friday, March 7. There is also a Sunday matinée on the 9th. Tickets and more information are in the Franklin Flyer!

Dr Gonzalez came to Franklin today to speak about the upcoming bond and budget vote. A future Franklin All-Star was in attendance to check out our plans for the future!! Details about the April 15 vote are on our website!


After our Safe Routes to School assembly, students were invited to submit posters for a poster contest. These winners were able to pick a bike helmet, light or bell! Congrats!!!






The Westfield Public School's shiny new bus took our students to Roosevelt! Normally, we like to walk there, but it was FREEZING! Students loved the new bus!



Our fourth graders are visiting the African American History Museum at RIS. Mrs. Billing's students enjoyed learning about local Westfield black history from MLK Westfield.
