To select their top 3 choices for an upcoming memoir book club, Roosevelt 7th graders in Ms. Burke's ELA class participated in a "book tasting, complete with tablecloths, French music, and candlelit ambiance," says principal Brian Gechtman.



Jefferson 1st graders recently used watercolors for the first time to beautify their cityscape drawings. What fun!





Edison students played a trivia game with Student Assistance Coordinator (SAC) Ms. Wilson, displaying their ability to make healthy choices and take positive action when faced with difficult decisions in their everyday lives.




McKinley 4th graders in Ms. Zales and Ms. Barna's class concluded a persuasive writing unit, creating posters to encourage adoption of pups at Wise Animal Rescue.

Our students love when families share their cultures and traditions. Franklin 2nd grader Anya and her parents introduced a book and a craft in Mrs. Vaglio's class, in celebration of Muslim Heritage Month .



Lots of celebrations of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. in our schools. Franklin 4th graders participated in fun, engaging lessons, including listening to the story, Martin's Big Words, and creating a collage of words they felt were important to Dr. King and his legacy.


Tamaques 1st graders joined together to create a beautiful poster, based on this year's theme of the Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Association of Westfield ... Building Bridges to the Beloved Community.
